How Dirt Bike Holidays Really Started
When I first arrived in Spain, I thought I'd continue the motocross life I'd built in the UK. Years of riding and racing, owning tracks, and running busy motocross venues had given me everything I needed… or so I thought. Within the first two weeks, reality hit hard. Local motocross tracks closed for no reason other than "it's too much trouble," and our dirt bike trail riding guide decided to head back to England. Everything I'd planned for motocross holidays collapsed almost immediately.
Faced with the choice to fight the system or adapt, I chose a new path: trail riding. I threw myself into learning every trail, every hidden path, and every olive grove in the area. I explored routes that weren't on maps, connected trails into unforgettable loops, and built a deep understanding of the region. Ten years later, that decision shaped what Dirt Bike Holidays is today. I know this part of Spain better than I know any riding area in England. And that knowledge goes directly into every one of our motorcycle trail riding holidays in Spain, giving our guests routes that are safe, scenic, and unforgettable — without relying on unreliable motocross tracks.
